PRESIDENT, NULGE, DELTA STATE HARPS ON WORK ETHICS

The Staff of the Local Government Councils across Delta State had been charged to uphold the habit of punctuality to work in spite of the present economic situation.

President National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comr. David Ofoeyene stated this in a recent meeting bordering on the issue of Absenteeism and Truancy, held with the various NULGE chairmen, Heads of Personnel Management, and Heads of Department across the State.

The State NULGE President, Comr. David Ofoeyene, said that the Local Government Commission was poised to sanctioning, any Staff found wanting in the area of Absenteeism and unethical work practices.

Comr. David Ofoeyene also said that the Local Government Union at the State level would continue in the struggle of protecting the interest of the Workers, stressing that workers however, should be committed to their duties.

He reassured the Local Government workers that the Government would not relent in the payment of the outstanding Salaries, pointing out that it was just a matter of time.
